Pianist Jinhyung Park first came to international prominence after becoming the first Korean pianist to win First Prize at the 2016 Prague Spring International Music Competition, one of the world's most prestigious and historic music competitions. His performance drew widespread acclaim, with the internationally renowned pianist Dang Thai Son, a member of the competition jury, praising him as "a pianist with an exceptionally beautiful and distinctive tone." Following his victory, Park made his international concerto debut with the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra in 2017 and, in the same year, gave a sold-out solo debut recital at the Prague Spring International Music Festival. He has since continued to build an active international career, appearing on leading concert stages both in Korea and abroad.
From an early age, Park demonstrated his prodigious talent, winning the Boy Korea Daily Competition, the Ewha & Kyunghyang Concours, and the CBS Youth Music Competition in Korea. He also claimed unanimous victories at the JoongAng Music Concours before expanding to international platforms.
Park made his debut at the age of thirteen through the Kumho Prodigy Concert and subsequently appeared in the Kumho Young Artist Series and the Kumho Young Artist Opening Concert. Since then, he has been invited to perform at distinguished concert series and festivals including the Yamaha Rising Stars Series, ArtM Rising Stars Series, the Prague Spring International Music Festival, the Slovakia Music Festival, the Animato Foundation in Paris, the DSA 20th Anniversary Gala Concert in the Czech Republic, the Korean Cultural Center in Belgium, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Korea, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris, and the Konzerthaus Berlin.As a concerto soloist, Park has appeared with numerous leading orchestras in Korea and abroad, including the KBS Symphony Orchestra, Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Spanish Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra, Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, Montréal Philharmonic Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.An active chamber musician as well as a soloist, he has collaborated with many distinguished artists, including conductor Chung Chi-yong, pianist Kun-Woo Paik, conductor Pablo González, and conductor Nicholas McGegan, earning recognition for his musical versatility, refined artistry, and collaborative musicianship.
In addition, he has collaborated with esteemed orchestras such as the Gyeonggi Philharmonic Orchestra, KBS Symphony Orchestra, Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Bucheon Philharmonic Orchestra, Prague Symphony Orchestra, Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra, Spanish National Radio Orchestra, Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Lithuanian National Philharmonic Orchestra, Montreal Philharmonic Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin. Park has also performed with celebrated artists and conductors such as Chung Chi-Yong, pianist Paik Kun-Woo, conductor Pablo González, and conductor Nicholas McGegan. His versatility as a musician extends to chamber music, where he has worked with various ensembles, showcasing his skills as a collaborative performer.
Park Jin-Hyung completed his studies at the Yewon School, Seoul Arts High School, and Yonsei University under the guidance of Professor Yoo Young-Wook. He is currently pursuing advanced studies at the Hanover University of Music, Drama and Media under the tutelage of Arie Vardi.
