Jessie M.

Jessie M., a Young Steinway Artist, began her musical journey at just four years old under the guidance of Ms. Winnie Tay at Song without Words Music Studio. Over the years, she has earned numerous accolades, including top honors at the Lang Lang Futian International Piano Competition, multiple editions of the UCSI International Piano Festival and Competition, and first-place awards in the National Piano and Violin Competition.
In 2024, Jessie achieved a major milestone in her career with a stunning debut recital at the prestigious Victoria Concert Hall to a full house.
In 2018, Jessie was the youngest grand prize winner in the Steinway Youth Piano Competition, and represented Singapore in the Steinway Regional Finals Asia. In 2019, Jessie stood out as the sole participant to achieve a perfect score of 100/100 in the International Piano Island Competition.
Jessie has drawn praise from leading pianists and educators in the scene. The renowned Liszt pianist, Leslie Howard, said this after a masterclass with Jessie: "She is a very gifted young pianist, intelligent, sensitive, and mature, with a thoroughly grounded technique."
For well-known piano pedagogue Josh Wright, Jessie’s “playing is artistic, mature, and thoughtful, and her technical brilliance is something I have rarely seen with any young pianist.
." Murray McLachlan, a judge at the 2018 Steinway Youth Piano Competition, has also remarked that “Jessie is a prodigious talent who shows a deep, sincere, and inspiring love of music in every phrase she plays."

Jessie's commitment to music goes beyond the performing, She is equally dedicated to empowering peers and the needy with music. She was a volunteer with The Resonance Project, a youth-driven initiative founded in the belief of service and love of music where members provide free musical instruction to children and the elderly. She has participated in charity performances such as the President Star Charity 2014 broadcast live on Channel 5 and two editions of the “ChildAid” charity concert organised by Singapore Press Holdings in aid of needy children before getting invited back as alumni this year again.
